Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Use Auto Restart Feature in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

There are some features available in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge that can be used to optimize your phone, one of which is the auto restart feature. When this feature is enabled, your phone will restart automatically at scheduled time. Restarting your phone can also be used to fix some issues, e.g., misbehaving apps, the touch screen responds slowly, etc.

How to use the auto restart feature?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down the screen to find Backup and reset and then tap it.
  3. Tap Auto restart.
  4. If the Auto restart feature is off, tap the ON/OFF switch to turn it on. The switch turns blue when it's enabled.
  5. Tap Time to set the required time to auto restart your phone and then tap Done button.
  6. Tap Days and then select the required day to auto restart your phone.
  7. Now, your phone will automatically restart at set times. As the example, if you have set the time to 05:00 and the day to Every Monday, your phone will automatically restart every Monday at 05:00 in condition that your phone's screen is turned off, your phone is not in use, the battery power is more than 30% and the SIM card lock feature is disabled. But, you have to remember that any unsaved data will be lost when your phone restarts.
