Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Change Display Option for Notifications on Lock Screen in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

In Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, you can change the way your phone displays notifications you receive while the screen is locked. You can set your phone to display unread notifications with or without its contents on the lock screen so you can easily know when you have ones. However, if you're tight with the privacy issue, you can set your phone to not display any notification on the lock screen so unread notifications will only be displayed if you have unlocked the screen.

How to change the display option for notifications on the lock screen?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to the Device section and then tap Sounds and notifications.
  3. Tap Notifications on lock screen and then select from the following options:
    • Show content: select this option to have your phone shows notifications and its contents on the lock screen.
    • Hide content: select this option to have your phone shows notifications without its contents on the lock screen.
    • Do not show notifications: select this option to disable notifications on the lock screen, in other words, your phone will not show any notification on the lock screen.
