Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Use Flashlight in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

When needed, you can use your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge as a flashlight to improve your visibility, for the example, when you need to find or do something in the dark. When this feature is on, your phone will project a flashlight beam from the camera light located in the back side of the phone.

How to use your phone as flashlight?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel.
  2. Swipe left on the quick setting buttons area to view more buttons.
  3. Tap Torch button to turn on the flashlight. The button turns green and the flashlight icon appears on the status bar as a sign that the flashlight is on. FYI, the camera light will stay on until you turn off the flashlight manually, even when the screen is off or locked.
  4. Point the flashlight to the area or object you want to lit up
  5. To turn off the flashlight, Swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap Turn off in the torch notification. The flashlight icon disappears from the status bar as a sign that the flashlight is off.
