Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Disable Emergency Mode in Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

When the emergency mode is enabled, it will help you extend your phone's standby time as long as possible by restricting some apps, changing the screen colour to greyscale theme, reducing the screen brightness, etc. However, you can easily switch back your phone to the standard mode when you want to use all features and apps in your phone by disabling the emergency mode.

How to disable emergency mode?
You can turn off this mode by using two different methods: from the device options menu and from the additional options in the emergency mode home screen.

Method #1: From the device options menu
  1. Long press the Power key to open up the device options menu.
  2. Tap Emergency mode.
  3. Tap Disable button.
  4. The emergency mode will be disabled.

Method #2: From the additional options in the emergency mode home screen
  1. While you're in the emergency mode home screen, tap at the top right or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then tap Disable Emergency mode.
  2. Tap Disable button.
  3. The emergency mode will be disabled.
