Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Export Contacts to SD Card in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Exporting contacts list to SD card as .vcf file is one of the way to backup your contacts. If needed, you can import the .vcf file later to re-add the contacts to your contacts list, or you can send the .vcf file to others to share your contacts.

How to export contacts list to SD card as .vcf file?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. Open Contacts app.
  2. If needed, tap the Contacts tab.
  3. Tap or long press the Recent apps key to open up the additional options and then select Settings.
  4. Tap Contacts.
  5. Tap Import/export.
  6. Tap Export to SD card. FYI, this option only available if you have inserted a SD card into your phone.
  7. Tap OK button to continue exporting your contacts list.
  8. Your contacts list will be exported shortly as .vcf file and will be saved in the SD card. You'll be notified on the status bar or notification panel if the process is completed.
