Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Change Screen Mode in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Samsung Galaxy S5 has some features which will give you more control to your phone's display, one of which is the screen mode. This feature lets you altering the color range, saturation and sharpness of the display. However, since everyone's eyes are different, Samsung Galaxy S5 has been equipped with five screen modes so that the user can choose the one that suit their need to get a better viewing experience.


How to change the screen mode?
You can do so by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. With the settings menu is displayed in grid view, scroll down to the Sound and display section and then tap Display .
  3. Tap Screen mode and then select from the following options:
    • Adapt display: select this option if you want your phone automatically optimizes the color range, saturation and sharpness of the display while you're in Gallery, Camera, Internet, Video, Smart remote and Google Play Books apps. The adapt display works best to be used in high-light environment, e.g: while you're in outdoor.
    • Dynamic: select this option if you want your phone makes the display tone more vivid and pop.
    • Standard: select this option if you want to have a display with colors that pop in normal surroundings.
    • Professional photo: select this option if you want your phone makes the display tone look like real colors.
    • Cinema: select this option if you want to have a better display tone while using your phone in low-light environment, e.g: while you're in indoor or in a dark room.
  4. Tap Save button.
  5. The screen mode has been changed.
