Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Change Camera Resolution

If you're using camera embedded on Samsung Galaxy SIII, you can customize some options available there to get the best result. One of which is by enabling or disabling flash camera option depending on light intensity around you.

In addition to enable or disable flash to get enough light when shot a picture, here you can also change the camera resolution.


How to change camera resolution?
Below are the steps you need to do to select the camera resolution:
  1. Go to Apps through Home screen.
  2. Tap Camera.
  3. Tap Settings (gear) icon to enter the camera settings.
  4. Tap Resolution.
  5. Now you will see 6 options available on pop up menu. They are:
    • 8MP (3264x2448)
    • 6MP (3264x1836)
    • 3.2MP (2048x1536)
    • 2.4MP (2048x1152)
    • 0.9MP (1280x720)
    • 0.3MP (640x480)
  6. Tap the required resolution you wish to use.
  7. Now you're ready to take a picture.
By default, Galaxy SIII camera set to use resolution of 8MP or 3264x2448 pixel. But, if you wish to use lower resolution than the default, then you can change it using the steps mentioned above.

    I have a Galaxy SIII mini, and for some reason the default resolution of my camera is set at 0.3MP. Whenever I switch it to another ones (through the steps mentioned above), anytime I restart my phone it always goes back to 0.3MP. it's a bit annoying because that resolution it's extremely low... Any tips on how I could fix this? Many thanks.
